Winter Spirit Week, Rally, and Formal Recap!

This year’s winter spirit week, rally, and formal was a huge hit and fun for all of the students. The spirit week days included school spirit day, crazy hat/hair day, sports day, snow day, and then class color day that lead into the rally. Each day the students had the chance to play a lunch time activity and students who dressed up earned spirit points for their graduating class as a part of the year long class competition Leadership created. On Friday, students gathered into the MPR for LVCP’s annual Winter Rally. The rally kicked off with a spirit competition where each class cheered when their class was called. Even though the Seniors won, the Juniors were definitely a close second. Leadership and student council gave shout outs to women’s basketball, men’s basketball, and cheerleading and gave special recognition to the seniors. When cheerleading was called, the girls performed a stunt and shared a sweet treat with the crowd. Some of the team members of our winter sports came back up to play some fun games. At the end of the rally, the students sang Happy Birthday to Mr. Pogue! To end the week, the school held a Winter Formal that was Paris themed. The MPR was decorated beautifully with fairy lights, the Eiffel tower and the Paris Skyline! Special thanks goes out to boosters for donating food, decorations and even helping run the French Cafe! The students had a really great time this week and leadership had an amazing time planning it!
